Evalution
I was given a brief to promote Canon's new product for their campaign around the concept of journeys at the start of this project. After receiving the brief, I began my research on the client to learn more about Canon. I was able to learn more about Canon's identity as a result. With my deeper understanding of Canon, I will be able to organise my magazine from cover and print advert designs more effectively and incorporate Canon's ideas into my work. After doing some research on the client, I wanted to see what advertising materials Canon had created to promote other products. I also wanted to know if there were any similarities between the items themselves or whether they were promoted in a particular way. They have created a wide range of advertisements, including advertorials, magazine covers, and print adverts. There were many similarities between print adverts and magazine covers, but there weren't many advertorials, which suggests that this type of media wasn't very well-liked. This is what motivates me to design a print advert and magazine cover. I studied the requirements after learning more about the client.
Making a front cover and print advert for a Canon magazine was one of the requirements for the brief. As previously stated, I decided to create a magazine front cover and print advert because, according to my study, there weren't many advertorials, which indicated that they weren't the most widely used or widely read kind of media. Another requirement was that our target audience is between the ages of 15 and 25. This is what inspired me to include a lot of images in my products because a lot of people these days are getting into photography through social media. By including a lot of images, I can demonstrate to my target audience that a camera and your creativity can produce just as good photos as a phone. This concept not only appeals to other audiences, but it also increases the number of individuals who will view the advertisement that is created.
I have gained a lot of knowledge and skills from working on this project, My planning, organising, time management and problem-solving skills have all improved. These skills are important in the media industry since they will help me work more efficiently and improve my time management skills. If I am organised, I will be aware of everything I need to do, including who will be involved, the locations I will need, the hazards of the locations and what to do in case something goes wrong. Another important skill is problem-solving since it allows me to deal with a range of situations that may arise and, if necessary, adjust the course of action I take. As I hadn't used Photoshop in a while, my skills were a little rusty. Thanks to this project, I've improved them.
Overall, my project has taught me a number of new skills, including editing, increasing my organisational skills, and the value of audience feedback. I think I've successfully completed the Canon brief since I used my research on Canon to create a high-quality magazine front cover and print advert. As the information I used in my research was data that the Canon itself had published and other reliable sources, I am confident that it it completely accurate.
